Time runs like crazy..here we are, in a new week and almost in the middle of february.
In this snowy week beginning I would like to announce something fresh for this blog.
It will be helpful from many points of view: the possibility to talk freely about your home based business/what is important to you, more interaction in the comments area, and finally answers and solutions to your problems which will be covered by me in the future posts.
What is it Radu?
Well, each monday I will publish a new series of posts called “Your Thought Matters” where I’ll ask 1 or 2 home based business /blogging related questions.
Thus, we can discuss and find solutions together in the comments area, as you express your thoughts .
Before we start, I must confess.. The idea isn’t mine.
I was inspired to create this series by Corbett Barr, the founder of ThinkTraffic.net. Great site btw, with tons of value on blogging, traffic generation and so on.
Corbett created a while ago a new feature on his site called “Ask the readers” where he asks different questions about his niche .
Since I value the opinion of my readers, I told myself that it’s a great idea to do something similar here. That’s how “Your Thought Matters” series showed up
So, let’s begin!
The question for this week is: “When your blog will move to the next level? “.
Even there are dozens of formulas and standards to measure the level of success/growth for a blog everyone of us is different.
Let’s face it…We have different goals, motivations and skills.
Some of us prefer to focus more on technical stuff, SEO etc while others will write more personal posts that aim more engagement with the readers.
Some focus on developing multiple streams of income while others stick with their home business/MLM opportunity.
Some decide to go with a marketing system while others want to create their own products and sales funnel.
Some love to research about products and tools..others focus on improving their writing skills.
The list can go on and on.
As a result is pretty difficult to apply the “next level” label for everyone’s blog.
So, when you’ll know that your blog has moved to the next level?
How “the next level” looks for you and what must happen in order to get there?
It can be anything: from having a more compelling design, more targeted traffic+ backlinks, a better Alexa rank, hitting the page one of Google with your posts, more RSS feed subscribers, more blog comments or social media buzz to more qualified leads, great content+ writing skills, your own freebie and info products, more affiliate commissions or MLM sign-ups.
It even might mean to participate in a blogging contest.
The range of priorities and preferences is huge
Your turn now: Look forward for your answers in the comments area. I will reply to each one.
Feel free to share your opinions and also spread the luv on Facebook, Twitter or Linken In if you found the post helpful.
Your thought matters

Hey Radu, you are so right. It’s about setting your goals very high.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t meet them. When I started marketing last year and did my first business builder challenge, my goal was to have 1000 daily visitors to my blog at the end of 90 days. (I was a newbie and so excited then….lol)
Did I achieve it then, NO! But a year later, I’ve had several days when I’ve had over 1000 visits and I’m now getting over 22,000 visitors consistently per month.
So it’s all about setting your goal to move you to the next level. The higher the better!

Hi Radu,
This is creativity. I love it.
Asking your readers what they want to talk about is bound to bring about great dividends.
I personally believe that providing quality content on a regular basis should always be a goal. What I have noticed is that when blogs move to the next level, they tend to start selling ad spaces on their blog for additional steams of income. Nothing bad in that as long as the quality is maintained and the ads are well maintained.
Not sure I’d do that, but never say never.
Awesome interactions here, my friend

Hi Radu, I’m hoping to get my monthly visits above 10,000 this year which will be double what it was last year and 5X what it was a year or two ago when I started. That will be the next level for me.

Hi Radu,
That’s a great question and definitely one that each person will have a different answer for since we all have different goals and priorities. For me, I am working to build my list and subscriber count. I’m shifting the focus of my posts and putting more effort into SEO because my rate of new visitors is so much lower than than return visitors. But the good thing about those numbers is that people who visit come back!

Excellent idea. I think that your blog has just moved to next level
You are asking when my blog will move to the next level, and this is a different question than when is my business going to move to the next level. The next level for me in my blog is optimizing the follow-up messages, structuring it in a form of a online course to help people achieve what I have accomplished and other things that I know.
And then it will be a matter of driving much more traffic so more people will be able to benefit from the value I share.
Good luck with the “Your thought matters” program!

Hi Radu,
Great idea!
My thoughts for this year are:
1. Button up my site’s structure.
2. Flow value packed content into the site through the blog section and marketing funnel via my free ebook offer.
3. Finish creating my products – ebook, and course.
4. Drive traffic to my vision and create cashflow from the paid ebooks and course.
It has taken time to nail down the vision, create the plan, structure the content, and execute, but all worth it in the long run. I have a great mentor Pam Hendrickson who has helped me tremendously via her Product Creation Blueprint program. My theme and content has shifted from focusing on network marketing and internet marketing alone to what it is now – a site to help PREP people for success before they attempt to walk the stairway of success.
Best to Monday’s Your thought matters!,

Radu, I have to agree with everyone on here. This was a great idea. So, as a new blogger, what do you think is the most important thing to work on first? There are so many things that are presented to you, where do you start and where do you draw the line to focus on later (or not at all).
Thanks,

Hey Tonya,
Good question..As a new blogger probably the most effective thing to do is get yourself and your blog noticed..This can be done in two ways: consistently create content while improving it along the road and the second interact with people as much as possible on other blogs, yours + social media (this helps you understand who are you serving in order to come with solutions).
Does this answer to your question?

Hey Radu, I think you have to define the question taking it to the next level. It all depends on the purpose of the blog, and most importantly, the audience. The technical stuff like SEO, Keyword research, syndication, backlinks will take it to the next level in rankings, but if you are just writing for the pure pleasure of writing, then all that doesn’t really matter.
I think niche market blogging is one of the best ways to capture a devoted following. You can promote your blog to the offline world and then word of mouth does the rest, provided you are giving quality content.
The concept of Your Thoughts Matter is great though. It will not only encourage comments, but will provide topics for future posts.
Thanks!

Hey Val,
Well, writing quality content from pure passion is certainly great and it feels like so. Yet, it can be combined with seo and keyword research so it can be more visible.
I like your comment! A little bit controversial I might say
.I know that there are many passionate bloggers/ writers who just outsource this task to a SEO company.
With all the internet going on, word of mouth still remains powerful..developing a loyal audience is a great long term investment to say so.
Thanks for the compliment
It seems that “your thought matters” is well received so far.

Great blog post! I think everyone uses a blog in a different way. You brought up some very important key factors in blogging. I think everyone is using a blog to promote something. The best way to keep “taking it to the next level” would be by having a plan. Almost like a biz plan except a blog biz plan. I think if done right with SEO, quality content, back links, and other factors that you continue to improve on you blog will also grow.
So make a plan and map out each week how you can incorporate all the great key points mentioned above to keep taking your blog to the next level. This will give you a fantastic blog and asset to your business.

I’ve moved both of my blogs to the next level recently, putting strong emphasis on SEO.
Actually 1 blog is pure SEO. I only comment on high ranking sites. So far so good, as I am consistently on page 2 or 3 of google for a “cash gifting” term which gets over 1000 hits a day, and with my metrics I see a fair gaggle of folks go 2 or 3 pages deep. Means plenty of opt-ins for me.
I am bringing my other blog up to. Emphasis on SEO but I comment on all types of blogs. It’s my networking baby.

One thing to mention, check out the rankings without using your google account..perhaps you heard about it already from Mavis, but here it is the link structure ( for the other readers as well):
Example for the keyword blog content ideas: https://www.google.com/search?q=blog+content+ideas&pws=0
You just have to add your keywords instead of mine: cash+gifting for example.
Yeah with commenting and networking you will reach the top position for cash gifting for sure
